Join our small group (max 8 guests) for an adventure into the Dandenong Ranges, just a short 1-hour drive from Melbourne. We embark on an easy/moderate 6.6km hike in the Eastern Sherbrooke Forest through towering Mountain Ash trees and wetland ferns. Keep your eyes open for lyrebirds, wombats, wallabies, and echidnas that call the forest home.
Next up is a crowd favorite, the century-old steam train, Puffing Billy. Sit back, relax, and breathe in the fresh air as Puffing Billy winds through temperate rainforest and over the historic Monbulk Creek trestle bridge.
It’s now time for a delicious lunch and we know just the spot. Here we will unwind and refuel before heading to Healesville Sanctuary. This bushland haven is home to native Australian wildlife. Enjoy a couple of hours to roam the park as you please before we return to Melbourne.
No bush walking experience required. The track is a hardened or compacted surface and may have a gentle hill section or sections and occasional steps. Walks no greater than 10km.
