FAQs

How fit do I need to be?

Our hikes are great for anyone with a moderate level of fitness. As a guideline, if you can tackle a decent staircase without keeling over you’re good to go. We also adjust the pace depending on groups fitness levels. Check out hike difficulty rating for the tour you are interested in for more specific details, and don’t hesitate to get in touch with us for more information.

Do I need hiking gear?

No. However you will need some good sneakers and are welcome to wear hiking boots if you have them. Good shoes will make the experience a lot more enjoyable. We also recommend bringing a windbreaker or light rain jacket in summer, and a warm waterproof jacket in the winter.

I’m a solo adventurer, is that ok?

Absolutely. We encourage people to ride solo with us! You’ll be sharing the adventure with up to 7 other nature lovers, so you’re not really solo. Plus Olivia is everyone’s friend (that’s our Kombi van, in case you missed that one).

Is there an age limit on the tours?

We welcome people of all ages, however if you’re under 18 years old, you’ll need to be accompanied by an adult.

How long is the drive to each hiking destination?

We hit the road bright and early. For each trip we are generally on the road driving for two hours. It’s a beautiful and scenic drive, we play some great tunes and will make a couple of coffee and toilet stops along the way to make the journey as comfortable as possible.

How far in advance should I book the tour?

Since spaces are limited, we recommend booking at least one week in advance. If we do have some spots left you are welcome to book up to 2pm on the day before the trip departs.

Can I bring luggage?

Our vehicles don’t have much storage space, so please try to bring only what you need. A small backpack and a water bottle should be suitable. We will bring lunch plus plenty of snacks, fruit, coffee and tea for the road.

What happens if I can no longer join the tour, do you offer a refund?

We’re happy to refund 100% of your ticket if you cancel your booking 14 days before the tour date. Unfortunately if your tour departs within 14 days we don’t offer a refund. However we will happily transfer the name of the ticket over, so you can pass onto a friend if you can no longer make it.

What is the transport like?

We have two modern VW Caravelle  – 9 seater vans. Both vehicles are geared up for maximum comfort, safety and style.

Do you offer a pick up and drop off service?

Yes, we have two easy to find pick up and drop off locations in St Kilda and Melbourne City. These iconic locations are within walking distance to many hotels and backpacker, see details below:
